What's Up with Toll Cipularang? 
The high number of accidents during the 2011 homecoming season to the attention of the government especially the Ministry of Transportation. Accidents during homecoming season, and behind one of them happened to Jamil Saipul dangdut singer which resulted in his wife died in Toll Cipularang.
Toll Cipularang become the scourge of anyone who crossed the line from Jakarta to Bandung. But many suspect not only human error factor. The condition of the Cipularang questionable, one of which a winding road kountur and wind factors. For the sake of reducing the likelihood of accidents in Cipularang, Department of Transportation will repair facilities and street signs.
Homecoming ritual it has become an annual tradition inevitable. Almost all modes of ground transportation ensured full of travelers. Despite a tradition, the government seemed spry enough to face various problems surrounding the homecoming especially suppress the number of accidents.
Homecoming 2011 accident data from Police noted a significant increase in the number of accidents which is 30.58 percent. And the largest case of accidents experienced by motorists. The data also showed a decrease in the number of passengers for ground transportation modes such as trains and buses.
This proves real travelers prefer to use private vehicles to return to his hometown. Means of mass transit is inadequate and can not be comforting thought to be the cause. Public transport service providers are required to provide comfort for its customers. (FRI)
